At CBSbutler, we're seeking a skilled Manufacturing Quality Specialist to drive efficiency and optimise processes in our Chelmsford, Essex facility.
Job Description
As a key member of our production team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to deliver exceptional products to our customers in Medical, Marine, Industrial and Defence markets.
Main Responsibilities:
* Process Optimisation: Identify areas for improvement within the product manufacturing cycle, analysing production workflows, implementing efficiency enhancements, and reducing waste to increase overall productivity.
* Quality Assurance: Take ownership of maintaining and improving quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, monitoring production outputs, performing root cause analyses for defects, and implementing corrective actions to ensure products meet or exceed established quality benchmarks.
* Manufacturing Support & Problem Solving: Provide technical support to the manufacturing team, ensuring smooth production runs. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to root cause promptly to minimise product losses.
* Documentation Skills: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, and quality control protocols. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are available for reference.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking out opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and increase product reliability.
We're looking for someone with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or similar, and/or equivalent experience. You'll also need proficiency in process optimisation, root cause analysis, and quality control methodologies, such as 8D, 6 Sigma.
