We are looking for a passionate, driven and ambitious Graduate to join our established Process Development team, who specialise in developing processes that manufacture some of the most exciting and innovative materials technology in our field. Under the guidance of our team of experienced engineers, we’ll equip you to develop innovative, technical manufacturing processes, delivering a world class product to our customers. What you’ll be doing as our Graduate Process Development Engineer: Develop new technology that will improve product performance and / or process efficiency. Develop and implement new manufacturing processes to support design engineering and production on NPI (New Product Introduction) Develop and implement process improvements to the production process to reduce cost, improve quality and increase capacity. Project manage the creation and development of process technology, the process design of equipment/jigs and determine process capability for production release in accordance with VDA 6.3 and IATF16949 Specify, evaluate, procure, and qualify new manufacturing equipment and tools to support process development for release to production Maintain development records and documentation of all process and product history Support manufacturing through validation, release of processes and products including generating BOMs and routes, documenting work instructions and support training of personnel Deploy APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) to IATF16949 Manage change of product and process according to the business system (currently IATF16949) Implement regular review, information sharing and process advice to the business. Make recommendation on process quality and output improvements Attend meeting on request to update/share quality and output improvement ideas Support problem solving of production issues relating to processes or materials Creation and documentation of process specifications Process auditing to ensure processes are continuing to be effective The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Graduate Process Development Engineer: Engineering calculations Process development and engineering Project management Problem solving Strong leadership Able to work as part of a team and on their own with minimum supervision Strong communication and organisational skills Strong interest in composites, ceramics or advanced materials and their processing Experience in curing/sintering of coatings and materials, CNC machine tooling development and component assembly Working within a structured and organised methodology Ability to analyse information (including numerical) and understand and interpret trends MS office proficient – Excel / Powerpoint / Word Report writing Need to have: A Degree or higher in Process / Chemical / Materials Engineering or related subject – 2.1 or higher Nice to have: Interest in automotive systems / technology.
