Blue Arrow are recruiting for an experienced chef to work with our client in the Birmingham area.
This is a temporary but ongoing position.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Assisting the chef manager in delivering a high quality and punctual service
2. General food preparation
3. Previous experience as a chef
4. Filling away deliveries
5. Washing utensils and dishes
6. Must be able to run a lone section of the kitchen
7. Great communication and teamwork skills
8. Cook all food to excellent quality
9. Storing and sorting ingredients properly
10. Passion for food
11. Ability to work under pressure
12. Own chef whites and chef knives
13. Ensuring food prep areas are clean in line with health and safety and food hygiene procedures
Skills required:
1. Food hygiene level 2 (dated within the last three years)
2. Previous experience as a chef
3. Happy to clean any areas needed
4. Has excellent organisation and time-management skills
5. Is able to use their own initiative and work as part of a team
6. Able to communicate/report any issues to the relevant people effectively
7. Is hard-working and reliable
8. Has experience in a similar role or similar environment
9. Reliable and punctual
