We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our bustling restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food and drink service, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in supervising staff and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
1. Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
2. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
3. Train and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
4. Manage inventory levels by reducing drink and food wastage.
5. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience.
6. Collaborate with the management team to develop and grow the business with a positive and can-do attitude.
7. Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
Skills
1. Proven experience in a restaurant or kitchen supervisory position, with a strong understanding of food and drink service.
2. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary operations.
3. Knowledge of conducting kitchen checks, NSF, EHO.
4. Excellent supervisory skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
5. Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
6. Effective communication skills for interacting with staff and customers alike.
7. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences.
8. Excellent attention to detail and ability to problem-solve.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £11.74 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
