We are looking for an ambitious and empowering Ward Manager (RMN) to join us at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green. You’ll be working 37.5 hours a week (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm) on Oakwood and Upper Oakwood Ward. Oakwood Ward at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green is our 15 bed female mental health acute service. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. Upper Oakwood at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green, is a s mall and supportive 6 bed mental health acute service for women. The aim of Upper Oakwood is to work with service users to plan for their discharge out of hospital. Upper Oakwood is now open and accepting referrals. Cygnet Hospital Godden Green provides specialist mental health acute and PICU services for women. The hospital is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Kent Weald, near Sevenoaks. We have extensive grounds which help us provide a calm and therapeutic environment. Working closely with the NHS we accept emergency and crisis admissions. Referrals are accepted from all areas, including acute and prison services. We pride ourselves in delivering safe and therapeutic care with a drive to develop our service users to live independently in the community. Your day-to-day… Provide the highest standard of nursing care & be a role model to junior staff Co-ordinate all clinical aspects of the ward & ensure co-operation between clinical departments Implement clinical & administrative policies, procedures & regulations Ensure compliance by others of policies, procedures & regulations Support staff through debriefs, appraisals, training, meetings & development of evidence/ research-based practice Participate unit coordinator rota system to provide the first point of contact for ward-based staff, outside of normal working hours Lead by example to ensure consistently high standards of clinical care & documentation Why Cygnet?
