Job summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced part-time Clinician (22.5 hors per week) to join our dynamic Outreach Service. You will work as one of our two Cornwall-based Practitioners. The Outreach Service covers three Counties; Devon, Somerset and Cornwall working with admission vulnerable women in the perinatal period. We work alongside Community Perinatal Mental Health Service as well and the Mother and Baby Unit (MBU, Jasmine Lodge). Outreach supports and facilitates admission and discharge into and out of the MBU and provides intensive community support for women experiencing acute mental illness in the perinatal period. You will be well supported to develop your skills both clinically and professionally and will work alongside a supportive and cohesive Team of experienced band 7 Clinicians. Main duties of the job Holding a caseload of complex women who are admission vulnerable but also women who have been discharged from an MBU following a period of acute illness. Work alongside the rest of the perinatal pathway including Community Perinatal Mental Health Teams and the MBU itself. Complete complex assessments and offer clinical intervention in the community. Support and lead on safeguarding processes for the families you work with whilst also holding the baby in mind as a priority throughout your clinical work.
