Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook Supervisor to join our culinary team in Seascale. As a Cook Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and leading a team of catering staff. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can maintain excellent standards while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* Supervise and coordinate catering team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
* Develop and implement menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health and safety standards
* Manage inventory, place orders, and control food costs
* Participate in menu tastings and quality control checks
* Collaborate with management to improve kitchen processes and customer satisfaction
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting
* Previous supervisory experience in a culinary role
* Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
* Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
* Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
* Valid Food Safety and Hygiene certification
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent time management and organizational abilities
* In-depth knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management
* Experience in menu planning and cost control
* Familiarity with inventory management systems
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work flexible hours
