LEV Technician - Facilities Management - Stevenage - £45,000 Plus excellent benefits
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a National Facilities Management company at one of their prestigious clients' sites based in Stevenage who are experiencing significant growth.
Salary: £45,000 plus excellent benefits

Location: Stevenage
Hours of work: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
Role Responsibilities:
* Responsible for carrying out a range of technical and engineering duties related to the maintenance and testing of LEV equipment and facilities contract wide.
* Provide a key role in the delivery of planned and unplanned work relating to local exhaust ventilation on site. Work will include but not be limited to: Biological Safety Cabinets, Fume Cupboards, Ventilated Enclosures and On-tool extraction.
* To remain compliant through training assigned to you.
* Take accountability for work undertaken including where necessary obtaining quotes from suppliers and third-party contractors.
* Provide updates when required for any changes to work orders or asset information.
* To identify current asset condition and any changes to plant condition.
The successful candidate:
* Previous experience and able to demonstrate good understanding of current standards and testing methods related to LEV systems, Safety Cabinets, Fume Cupboards, Ventilated Enclosures.
* Experience carrying out the testing of LEV systems used to control exposure to substances hazardous to health, DOP Testing.
* Ability to produce records of the results of examination and testing as required by regulatory guidance and codes of practice.
* Understand and be able to describe the principles and the main elements of an LEV system.
* Judge whether an LEV system is capable of adequate control of the identified hazards.
* Ability to carry out the necessary measurements safely to determine if an LEV system is effective and operating to the design specification.
* Ability to establish, in circumstances where a system has not been properly commissioned, whether the system works effectively, controls exposure and determine the operating criteria for continued performance.
