Role: Locum Aseptic Pharmacist Banding : Band 8a Location: Aylesbury Start Date: ASAP Duration : Until the 31 January 2025 Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 37,5hours per week Rate: £34 - £39 per hour We are seeking a dedicated and experienced B8a Pharmacist specializing in aseptic services to join our team in Aylesbury. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and effective preparation and dispensing of aseptic products, particularly for oncology and haematology patients. If you are passionate about patient care and have a strong background in pharmacy. Duties and Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the aseptic preparation of medications, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and standards. You will screen prescriptions for cancer patients, provide expert advice on medication management, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. Additionally, you will contribute to the training and development of junior staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: M Pharm (or equivalent). Registration with the GPHC. Excellent understanding of QMS and regulatory requirement Postgraduate Clinical Diploma and/or equivalent experience Experience in Oncology/Haematology/aseptics – at least one area Ability to screen prescriptions for cancer patients Desirable: Proven experience in aseptic services, preferably within a healthcare setting. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
