Job summary This is a temporary Bank RMO Doctor role at Elysium Healthcare's new 42-bed mental health service in Clacton-on-Sea. The role involves providing care and treatment for men and women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental health disorders, including acute mental illness, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorder, dual diagnosis, self-harm, and substance misuse issues. A trauma-informed care model is used to focus on length of stay to make sure individuals are able to move as quickly and safely as possible from the service to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them. Service users could be suffering from Acute mental illness, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Personality Disorder, Dual diagnosis, Self-harm, Substance misuse issues. The RMO Doctor role involves: Review the mental state and physical health of service users. Ensure adequate handover to colleagues. Take a lead with managing any physical health concerns that emerge during inpatient stay. Seek collateral history from other professionals and family. Complete admission assessments in a timely manner. Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that patients have access to appropriate medical treatment at all times, including referral to the local A&E Department if required. Attend monthly clinical and managerial supervision sessions.
