Job Description This role is for a Sales Team Head to cover our Data Centre & Cloud Infrastructure business in the UK & Ireland within the Network Infrastructure organization. Position Overview: This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and innovative leader to join us to lead a new team building awareness and creating traction for Nokia’s market leading portfolio across the Data Centre and Cloud Infrastructure market. As Sales Team Head you will lead the go-to-market, define the strategy and lead the execution of the end-to-end sales process. You will report to the VP & Market Unit Head for UK & Ireland. What you will learn and contribute to: The Data Centre Fabric market in Europe is expected to grow from $3B/2024 to $4.5B/2028, a CAGR between 4.6% to 8.1%. Similar significant growth figures are expected in the DC Gateway and DC Interconnect markets. AI is also expected to drive increased demand for connectivity and capacity leading to the need for new infrastructure. Forecast’s by Nokia’s Bell Labs indicate that even at moderate levels AI will represent 25% of all WAN traffic by 2030 with a 40% increase in traffic overall within the same timeframe. As a leader in IP, Datacentre fabric & networking, optical DCI and security applications Nokia is well positioned to capitalise on this significant opportunity with a brand reputation synonymous with high quality and reliability. The breadth and depth of our Network Infrastructure portfolio puts us in a unique position to be a capable, trusted partner for business, societal and mission-critical networks of immense importance and value around the world. Moreover, Nokia is driving a very ambitious program in Data Centres, with a full new approach to DC infrastructure and a complete dedication to address the Data Centre market. Finally, Nokia is heavily investing in a partnership ecosystem with a new dedicated organisation to support the ambition to significantly increase the volume of business achieved through indirect channels. As a result, the NI organization is seeking a seasoned and dynamic sale professional to lead the development of the DC business in the UK & Ireland. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning : Developing and implementing the sales strategy to meet company goals and objectives including defining the appropriate go to market recognising Nokia’s objective to drive significant growth via channel and in direct routes. Team Leadership : Leading and managing the sales team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Sales Forecasting : Analyzing sales data to predict future sales trends and setting targets and objectives accordingly. Client Relationship Management : Building and maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive long-term business growth. Budget Management : Overseeing the sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively, and maximizing return on investment. Market Analysis : Conducting market research to identify opportunities, competition, and customer needs. Reporting : Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance and market trends. Collaboration : Working with other departments, such as marketing, product business groups especially the partner and enterprise teams to align strategies and improve sales processes and success rates. Training and Development : Facilitating ongoing training programs for the sales team to enhance their skills and product knowledge. Compliance and Ethics : Ensuring the sales team adheres to legal and ethical standards in all sales activities. Qualifications You have: Bachelor’s degree in applicable subject or equivalent technology background or experience. MBA could be an asset. 5 years of relevant and progressive experience in the ICT or Data Centre domain, either in the Telecom sector or in other industry sectors with heavy adoption of Telecom solutions. Fluency in English and ability to integrate multinational and cross-functional virtual teams. Leadership, Strategy consulting capabilities, Customer Focus, and strong business Acumen Excellent communications skills, both orally and written with the ability to evangelize both internally and to customers Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities. Strong interest in the Cloud, ICT, Technology markets Enthusiasm in keeping abreast of technological and market trend as well as competitive intelligence.
