The Chief Nurse is an Executive Director role, instrumental in shaping the development of the clinical strategy that will underpin the continued transformation of the Trust and for providing professional expert advice to the Chief Executive and Board of Directors.
This role exists to empower our clinical workforce to improve services, to equip them with the data, expertise and resources that they need and to hold them accountable for the quality of care they deliver. We want a Chief Nurse who will drive improvement and ensure that good practice is spread across the entirety of the organisation and with our partners. The ability to work as an equal partner alongside the Chief Medical Officer as the two clinical advisors to the Board will be vital to the success of the organisation.
We are working as part of a collaboration with Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust and Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, which reflects a change in the improvement philosophy in the NHS from competition to cooperation.
