Our client is a global supplier of Oil, Gas, Produced Water and Sea Water process equipment solutions to the International Oil and Gas Industry.
We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to fill an immediate vacancy and join our small, experienced and passionate team.
Key Responsibilities
* Process Design: Develop cost-effective process designs for new and existing production facilities from initial concept to completion of detailed design, including:
* Process equipment sizing and selection, including unit operations, vessels, pumps, control and relief valves
* Preparation of equipment data sheets, PFDs, material balances and process sizing calculations
* Input to instrumentation, control system and mechanical designs
* Preparation of commissioning, start-up, operation and maintenance manuals
* Operations Support: Provide technical support during commissioning & start-up and interpret field data to solve client operational issues and make performance improvement recommendations.
* Development and Standardisation: Participate in the development of new and advancement of existing products, including product testing, standardisation and creation of in-house sizing programs.
* Commercial Support: Provide technical quotation support, including input to vendor sourcing and selection.
* Project Inspection Visits: Attend sub-vendor workshops during detailed design, fabrication and build to ensure equipment compliance with design documentation.
* Safety, Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure that all processes are environmentally sustainable and comply with safety regulations and standards, including participation in HAZOPs and safety studies.
Technical Knowledge and Experience
he successful candidate will have:
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
* 1 to 3 years’ process design experience in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals or a related industry, preferably working for an equipment vendor and/or engineering contractor
* Experience of single and multiphase flow theory and calculations (preferable)
* Knowledge of oilfield materials and general oilfield standards and terminology (preferable)
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel, including a good understanding of Excel VBA
* Experience in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD (preferable)
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to be a self-starter, as well as working well within a team
* Flexible attitude with the ability to meet tight deadlines
* Forward thinking and pro-active approach
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to travel occasionally both within the UK and overseas
The role is a full-time staff position, and the successful candidate may be UK home based or work from our Rugby office. If home-based, the successful candidate will be expected to attend our Rugby office when necessary to fulfil work and training commitments.
Salary range dependent on experience - £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
