Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.
In your role, you will
* Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects and performs maintenance on customer aircraft.
* Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
* Perform complete engine runs as required
* Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems
* Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks, and determine that relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard
* Assist when providing time estimates and monitor efficiency, to ensure that scheduled man-hours are not exceeded, and coordinate overtime requirements with the Project Managers
* Ensure tasks as performed are in accordance with Bombardiers Maintenance Organization Procedures
* Sign off base maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself
* Release aircraft and authorized, by signing the Certificate of Release to Service after base maintenance
As our ideal candidate
* You hold an UK CAA & EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License: B1 and/or B2 and/or C
* You are type-rated on relevant Bombardier Business Aircraft Type
* You have up to date knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66, Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations
* Have been involved in at least 6 months of actual relevant aircraft or component maintenance experience in any consecutive 2-year period
* Have knowledge on, and practicing of, human factors, human performance and limitations
* Have the ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings
* Be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task and / or aircraft status
* Be highly proficient in using standard tools, special tools and operate ground support equipment
* Have the ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and to notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards
* Have the ability to use information systems (computer skills)
