Horizon Teachers are supporting a specialist school for children with Primary, Social Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs, graded good by Ofsted on their search for experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants. This school supports children in Key Stages 1 and 2, with small classes of up to five students and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants.

The Role:
This SEMH Primary School is looking for Teaching Assistants to join their close-knit team, providing learning and behavioural support. You'll work with teachers, therapists, and parents to help children with SEMH needs thrive and excel in their learning and personal development. You will have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, be resilient in working with children with SEMH needs, and be passionate about helping our children achieve their full potential. They are looking for someone with a track record of working with SEND children, preferably in an SEND Setting.

As part of the registration process, you will be required to have a DBS Check carried out and all original relevant qualifications will need to be sighted and copied before any work placement. For all teaching roles, you will need to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
