Position: Health & Safety Advisor Location: Suffolk office with regular site visits required About the Role As our Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone involved in the Sizewell C project. From overseeing compliance and governance to delivering training and conducting site inspections, your work will be integral to the project's success. You will have the chance to shape and promote a positive health and safety culture across all project stagesfrom design to implementation. Key Responsibilities Conduct planned project inspections and deliver pre-work site evaluations. Track and support investigations into unplanned events, helping to mitigate risks. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and local management to ensure compliance and safety. Prepare detailed reports following site visits, audits, and investigations. Monitor and update project documentation in line with legal and regulatory changes. Support and develop environmental procedures to ensure ISO 14001 compliance. Deliver training sessions and support initiatives aimed at promoting a Zero Harm culture. What Were Looking For Essential: Strong ability to influence and promote a positive HSES culture. Comprehensive understanding of the UK Health and Safety Regulatory Framework. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Broad experience with complex construction and civils projects. NEBOSH National Diploma, NCRQ Diploma in Applied Health and Safety, or equivalent Level 6 qualification. Competence in incident and accident investigation. Desirable: Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Graduate Member of IOSH, CMIOSH, or working towards. Experience in tunnelling and other specialist heavy-civils operations. Why Join Us?
