Do you want a combination between leading a ward and practicing clinically? If this sounds like you, we would welcome your application to be considered as a Ward Manager here at Nelson House.
About Us:
Nelson House is a modern and spacious 28-bedded Rehabilitation and Recovery mental health unit providing care for men of adult working age with mental illness. Located on the South Coast in Gosport, it is centrally located with access to beaches and the New Forest. We have two wards: Trafalgar (High Dependency Ward) and Victory (step-down ward).
By focusing on the development of skills for independence, the unit provides a positive step for patients, many of whom will transition to living in the community. It helps patients learn new ways of managing their conditions and symptoms to prevent future relapse. For patients with challenging behaviors, Nelson House helps them learn skills to change their responses to anxiety and distress.
We have a full MDT, with Psychology and Occupational Therapy being key drivers within our unit.
The Ward Manager Role:
We are looking for an RMN with inpatient experience, including leadership and management. The role is well-supported by an established, professional, and friendly MDT. You will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and be a role model to join our highly motivated and enthusiastic team.
