Our client offers best-in-class sustainability advice, working predominantly with commercial clients. Their Sustainability team is based in the London office and provides expert guidance to help clients understand energy performance and net-zero carbon needs. By joining this team, you will play a vital role in driving sustainability innovation and embedding energy and sustainability best practices across various projects.
As a Sustainability Consultant, you will:
* Work directly with key clients to understand their energy performance and net-zero carbon needs.
* Provide advice, maintain regular client contact, and identify opportunities for adding value through new research, collaborative opportunities, and raising awareness of best practices.
* Take a leadership role within project teams to inspire and embed sustainability in diverse environments, including site visits, workshops, meetings, and problem-solving sessions.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Engineering and Sustainability (E&S) team, reporting to the E&S Associate Director.
* Support the technical delivery of LCA/LCC/WLC analysis and reporting, including modeling, analyzing results, and proposing solutions to reduce embodied and whole-life carbon.
* Assist with EPC, MEES, and NZC pathway reporting, producing IES models, writing reports, and presenting low-carbon solutions to internal and external teams.
* Work with the E&S hub’s MEP engineering team to develop best practices, including workflows and standard templates.
We’re seeking a candidate who has:
* A strong understanding of sustainable development issues and low-carbon design in the built environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* A building-related degree, preferably in engineering or architecture.
* The ability to write clear, concise reports.
* Commitment to professional accreditation (e.g., Chartership), with full support to achieve within agreed timescales.
* A Master’s degree in a sustainability-related field (desirable but not essential).
* Experience within sustainability consultancy (advantageous but not necessary).
* Knowledge of sustainable design themes and UK policy frameworks.
