Travel This role requires a large degree of flexibility, with regional travel required throughout Wales & West England where required. Travel will not be required daily, and you will plan your own diary. This role is a supervisory position, managing a maintenance team, ideal for a candidate looking to get off the tools and it to a management position.
We are advertising this Divisional Maintenance Supervisor- Electrical role on behalf of our client ‘City Facilities Management’. City were established in 1985 and the company has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies.
Job Purpose
The Divisional Maintenance Supervisor will support the Division Operations Manager in technical knowledge, reporting and coordination within the following areas
1. Project work e.g., Hospitality focus, P1’s/P2’s, Focus reports.
2. Productivity reporting
3. Compliance reporting – PPM management
4. Remote technical support – Trade impacting incidents etc.
5. Spend & Budget control
Key Accountabilities
6. Always comply with the company Health and Safety Policy.
7. Complete all mandatory online training and Evolve modules.
8. Ensure that compliance documentation is always completed and up to date highlighting any concerns across Division to DOM
9. To ensure people performance is optimised.
10. Attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.
11. Support the Divisional Operations Manager on all technical, people and FM process issues.
12. Provide cover for the Area Maintenance Manager during times of absence.
13. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise Divisional Operations/AMM’s of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
14. Advise Divisional Operations Manager of any repair and maintenance issues arising from CANO/Hospitality report to ensure supplier/technicians actions are recorded.
15. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by Divisional Operations Manager.
16. Monitor and report/update Mercury system including live job updates and resource availability.
17. Follow and support spend & budget control processes for the Division, ensuring that all costs are agreed, validated, and approved as required
18. Be line manager for the divisional allocated lighting team colleagues for holidays, absence and first line manager duties liaising with the National Small Works Manager
19. This role is responsible for logging material spending and purchasing and supporting the Line Manager to ensure best value from 3rd party contractors
20. The Divisional Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the direct line management of the lighting team liaising with the National Small Works Manager, along with the responsibilities of a regional team in the absence of an AMM.
Candidates background & experience -
21. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent & 18th edition in electrical installation/Maintenance.
22. 3 phase electrics and its applications
23. Retail Experience would be preferred
24. Experience managing/ supervising a maintenance team.
25. Support on a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves
26. Quality of repairs and maintenance
27. Speed and efficiency of work within Excel, Word and other systems required
28. Maintenance of the Health and Safety policy
