Electrical Estimator - Main Contractor

Our client is an award-winning international Design & Build Consultancy and are seeking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Attend project start-up meetings and make site visits.
2. Produce enquiry schedules for scope of works & packages required from the tender documentation, drawings, and specifications issued.
3. Identify tender deliverables required from the Project Designers.
4. Evaluate returned quotations from suppliers and where necessary enter into correspondence with suppliers to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements.
5. Prepare BOQ for scopes of projects on estimating programs (such as Excel, Causeway, CCS Candy & Kubus).
6. Input to project risk register and attend a project risk meeting in the presence of Estimators, Planning Engineers, Design Coordinators, and Clients representatives.
7. Attend tender price settlement meetings in the presence of the tender team with Estimating Manager.
8. Attend Tender Handover meetings in the presence of Estimators and projects team.
9. Assist the Estimating Manager in promoting interaction with the appropriate functional leader to facilitate successful development of solutions to problems and estimates.
10. Make tender amendments where applicable utilizing client feedback on submitted tenders.
11. Provide support and respond to tender queries made by project team personnel.
12. In conjunction with the Contract Manager / Senior Management review contract details relevant to the company’s ability to deliver under the contract.
13. Liaise with Business Development personnel and key tendering department personnel regarding tender upload and submission.
14. Tendering on a variety of HV/MV/LV large-scale projects.
Requirements:
1. Experience in an Electrical contracting environment essential.
2. A relevant third-level degree and/or a trade background.
3. Minimum of five years experience in a similar role.
4. Team player with a genuine passion for employee development.
5. Ability to build projects from start working closely with engineering, procurement & operational teams.
6. Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
