SEN Teaching Assistant Hourly Rate: £14.18 Location: Burnley Job Type: Full-time (Starting 21st April 2025) Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an SEN unit within a mainstream school. This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with EYFS children and children with complex needs. Day-to-day of the role: Support EYFS children and those with complex needs within a mainstream school setting. Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs and behavioural plans. Work closely with teachers and other staff to promote an inclusive environment. Provide one-on-one support and group support within the classroom. Help with the preparation of materials and equipment for lessons and activities. Monitor and support the progress of children, reporting back to teachers and parents as required. Required Skills & Qualifications: Must be Level 2 qualified in a relevant field. Proven experience working with EYFS children and children with complex needs. Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with special educational needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
