SEN Teaching Assistant Based in Portishead Part time SEN experience is essential Long - Term teachers are working with a fantastic mainstream primary school, based in the seaside town, Portishead. The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant, who has excellent experience supporting students with SEN. About the school: A lovely school based in Portishead, with strong Christian values, who are part of a Multi - Academy Trust. They provide a nurturing approach to learning, however encourage their students to challenge themselves and always strive to be the best they can. About the role: Based in the year 3 class, you will be working 1:1 with students with additional needs, which include learning and behavioural. Work will be pre -planned, however you are welcome to add your own unique enthusiasm when delivering activities. You must coax the students to want to make progress both academically and socially. There will be an opportunity to offer general classroom support to other key stages, when the need arises, so it is important that you are able to support your team. Working up to 3 days a week, from 8:30am - 3:30pm term time only. The role will commence in Term 6, however if you demonstrate to be an excellent addition to the team, there will be an opportunity to progress to a permanent position.
