:
1. Preparation of antimicrobic solutions in accordance with relevant SOPs and in line with production paperwork - weighing, dissolution, and dilution
2. Set-up and monitoring of production dispensing pumps, to enable on time and quality production output - pouring, priming and weight checks.
3. Manufacture of various vital ancillary solutions – ID media, buffers, and excipients
4. Compliance checks of laboratory equipment and instrumentation – pipettes, balances, and extractors
5. Maintain and supervise raw material stock levels – consumables, intermediates, and equipment.
6. Support the laboratory by washing and autoclaving equipment – pumps, glassware, and other items.
7. Use computer software to process information – SAP ERP, Microsoft Office and customized programs.
8. Further duties and responsibilities as the need arises by the business and within the ability of the post holder.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
9. Capable of following standard operating procedures and H&S guidelines
10. Good partnership and interpersonal skills
11. Able to coordinate and prioritise tasks under own initiative.
12. Attention to detail when following procedures and keeping manual records.
13. Ability to perform sophisticated manual tasks with dexterity.
14. Basic digital literacy would be beneficial.
15. Laboratory or similar (eg kitchen) experience is an advantage.
16. Exposure to a fast-paced high efficiency manufacturing type environment would be valuable but not crucial.
17. Ideally educated to A-level standard or equivalent in a scientific subject
This role is offered on a 3-week rotating daytime only shift pattern including one weekend in three. Average 38 hours per week inside the laboratory operating hours of 0700-1700.
