A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the Special Educational Needs Team at a highly oversubscribed, inclusive comprehensive school. The Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting students in lessons, working closely with teachers to adapt resources and teaching methods to ensure students achieve and make progress. The role may also include providing 1:1 or small group interventions, focusing on different learning or social needs.
The school welcomes applications from individuals with experience in similar roles or those looking to make a career change and take on new challenges. The successful candidate will be expected to offer learning and care support on a 1:1, small group, and in-class basis. Strong communication and IT skills, as well as a high level of literacy and numeracy, are essential for this position. It would be desirable for the applicant to have training in phonics to assist within lessons and daily interventions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
