Quality Manager We are currently looking to recruit a Quality Manager to work at our Liverpool Headquarters site on a full time, permanent contract. What will you do? Responsible for the development and implementation of the quality strategy throughout the business and monitoringits enforcement by establishing relevant KPIs. Maintain a documented Quality Management System that reflects the companys commitment to food safety as well as establishing the Operating Quality Manual. Manage and leaddirect reports to achieve the operational and strategic ambition of the department. Drive growth within the team through individual development plans. Manage the internal and external audit programs (Vitaflo headquarters and subsidiaries, suppliers and contract-manufacturers). Ensure the monitoring of key quality parameters in order to drive structured, root cause analysis and continuous improvement in the quest for zero defects across the organisation. Lead the management review of quality. Member of the crisis committee for all product-related crises and incidents. Lead the follow-up of crises/major quality failures. Ensure the correct functioning of the Vitaflo QC laboratory, including personnel safety, availability of equipment and training of technicians. Track and challenge the performance of contracted laboratories. Assist other departments in the entire value chain and provide them with the necessary services and support, to ensure quality in their fields. Control an annual budget for all activities relating to Quality Assurance. Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize tasks to deliver budget benefits. Who are we looking for? Essential University graduate or equivalent (preferred microbiology, chemistry or food science-related studies). Demonstrated ability to lead a team e.g.QA manager in a factory. Proven track record of delivering results by working with cross-functional teams. High knowledge of GMP, Food Hygiene, HACCP and FSSC 22000 standards. Auditing experience and knowledge of microbiology. Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and influence across all functions and levels. You will be able to work using your own initiative, have the ability to prioritise with strong communication skills and be able to solve technical and complex problems. Desirable Experience in leading a team and working in food companies. Knowledge and application of 5Sprinciples. Experience and focus on Continuous Improvement. Infant Formula or medical food manufacturing. What we offer?
