You are committed to maintaining high service standards and contributing positively to team procedures and policy updates. What the Job Involves The role involves delivering exceptional service in billing, collection, and recovery of Council Tax, along with other services like Business Rates when needed. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating computer records, addressing customer enquiries, processing Change of Address/circumstances, and awarding discounts/exemptions. You'll take payments over the phone and guide customers on benefits and budgeting. The role requires participating in team procedure development, system improvements, and providing initial induction and training for new employees. Compliance with Council regulations, health and safety, and equalities policies is expected, along with engaging in performance conversations.
