Job summary
We have a fixed term position available due to organisational growth. Experience of working in a primary care setting is essential and the applicant must have a minimum of 2 years experience of working as a HCA. In general, the post holder will be expected to undertake all of the normal duties and responsibilities assciated with a Health Care Assistant working in primary care.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include, but are not limited to;
Phlebotomy
Assisting with long term conditions clinics such as diabetes, asthma, COPD
NHS Health Checks
Wound Management
Flu and Pneumonia vaccinations
Smoking Cessation
ECGs
BP checks
B12 injections
Suture and clip removal
NHS health Checks
New patient health checks
Ordering nursing stock and equipment
Precise and accurate recording on patient records
You will work alongside the existing nursing team to ensure:
Stock levels are maintained by ordering, rotation and sorting deliveries. Identifying the best places to purchase stocks and dealing with suppliers.
Completion of cleanliness, infection prevention control measures and health and safety requirement of the role.
Doctors are supported in their clinics.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all patients.
