Plus, much more “Find your role” The role of Operational Compliance Manager is a field based role, reporting into the Operational Compliance Team and part of our wider Legal & Compliance function, primarily supporting with the delivery of Asda’s Legal & Compliance strategy. The Operational Compliance Team covers all formats, nationwide. The role aims to ensure that Operational Compliance standards are met at our sites within retail, ALS and Home Office sites. Working with leadership and management teams to support the compliance culture; from implementation of Compliance standards through to incident investigation and managing regulatory contact. The role also is involved in executing a Compliance monitoring and coaching programme that drives continuous improvement in Compliance performance. This is a field based role predominantly covering London and the South East. You will be the main point of contact for Enforcement Agencies regarding Compliance issues. Following on from Enforcement visits you will assess risks, leading to potential liaison with Officers, working with sites to agree action plans and next steps and where applicable helping them to implement change You will investigate high level Compliance related incidents at sites and feedback to relevant stakeholders on your findings. This could be anything from a serious accident to a sale of age restricted goods; a pest outbreak to a fire. You will be responsible for carrying out Compliance risk based monitoring and auditing of standards at sites. This will involve assisting in the development of the audit, carrying out the audits and feeding back actions and recommending improvements to relevant stakeholders. You will carry out other site and support visits to drive improvements in Compliance Standards. Whilst you will be aligned to certain regions, the role requires flexibility to attend any site nationwide if required “Let's find out about you.” You will need to be excellent at building relationships at all levels. As this role covers many sites, you can’t be at one site all the time to see how things are going. You will need others to deliver for you and you will need to build trust with them to help to ensure they do so. You will be presenting to others on key risks and issues so quickly gaining their engagement is key to your success. You will need to work well with others, both inside and outside of your team. You will need to support others in the team on a nationwide, regular basis.
