Are you a detail-oriented professional with experience in licensing and regulatory compliance? We are seeking a Licensing Officer to join a dedicated team on a temporary basis, working in a hybrid setting (3 days in office, 2 days WFH).
As a Licensing Officer, you will be essential in maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service. In this role, you will conduct licensing inspections, investigate complaints, and collaborate with other agencies to ensure a streamlined and effective licensing process. This position allows you to apply your expertise to make a meaningful impact on public safety and community standards.
The Role
1. Conduct scheduled licensing inspections based on risk assessment principles, ensuring that all licensed entities meet regulatory standards.
2. Lead investigations into complaints involving licensed premises, vehicles, drivers, and other relevant activities.
3. Coordinate with other departments, agencies, and authorities to provide a cohesive and effective licensing enforcement service.
4. Manage enforcement actions, including issuing notices, preparing prosecution files, and presenting cases to internal panels or committees.
5. Offer expert guidance on licensing matters to businesses, community members, and internal departments, fostering informed and compliant practices.
6. Develop relationships with industry trade bodies, pubwatch programs, and the licensed vehicle trade to promote licensing awareness and alignment with best practices.
