Key Responsibilities: Site Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the school’s buildings and grounds. Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including regular checks of fire safety equipment and risk assessments. Security: Manage the security of the site, including unlocking and locking the premises, and responding to any out-of-hours emergencies. Cleaning & Hygiene: Oversee cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school, supporting the cleaning team as needed. Facilities Management: Monitor and manage utilities, ensuring efficient use of resources. Contractor Liaison: Supervise on-site contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard. Event Preparation: Assist with the setup of school events, ensuring the premises are prepared and fit for purpose. Key Requirements: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting. Basic DIY skills, including plumbing, carpentry, and decorating. Strong understanding of health and safety practices. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Willingness to undertake training as required. A flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the school. Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
