Position Overview:
Currie & Brown is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QS Engineer – MEP to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in quantity surveying for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with experience in high-rise residential projects of G+18 floors or above.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage quantity surveying tasks for MEP works, ensuring proper cost control, budgeting, and schedule adherence.
* Prepare and manage rate analysis, BOQs, and final bill checking for MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
* Review and study project drawings for MEP systems to ensure accurate quantity take-offs and material estimation.
* Collaborate with MEP contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve issues related to MEP works and costs.
* Perform value engineering analysis and propose cost-effective solutions for MEP systems.
* Ensure compliance with relevant MEP codes, standards, and regulations.
* Assist in managing contractor payments and finalizing RA/Final Bills for MEP works.
* Provide technical support during the design and construction phases, ensuring MEP systems are cost-effective, efficient, and aligned with the project budget.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Educational Qualification:
o BE / B-Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a Diploma in relevant MEP disciplines.
* Experience:
o Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying for MEP systems, preferably in high-rise residential real estate projects.
o At least 3-4 completed high-rise residential projects (G+18 or above) involving MEP systems.
* Technical Skills & Knowledge:
o Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD (for quantity take-offs and material estimation).
o Strong expertise in MEP quantity surveying, rate analysis, and bill of quantities (BOQ) for MEP systems.
o In-depth knowledge of IS Codes relevant to MEP works and industry standards.
o Experience in value engineering and understanding of MEP-related cost optimization techniques.
* Other Skills:
o Fluent in English and Hindi (both written and spoken).
o Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
