Location: Brixworth, Northampton
Salary:
Training Period (3 months) - 8.30am-5.00pm, £24k
After training - 2pm-10pm, £28,800 (includes a 20% shift premium)

The Job:
Supporting Production, working PM shift after training, the QC Technician will be responsible for ensuring all incoming and outgoing raw materials and fragrance batches undergo the relevant quality control tests, in order to determine differences in quality. Where necessary, the technician will investigate and record non-conformances, as well as rework raw materials according to specifications as required.
What You Will Be Doing:
1. Smell and release raw materials, fragrance batches, and laboratory batches after testing to specifications
2. Assist production with any queries relating to raw material or production batches
3. Proactive retesting of all batches and materials due
4. Problem-solving and issuing clear rework instructions
5. Accurately reading and entering all data onto QC SYSTEM with due regard for specifications
6. Record all non-conformances
7. Obtain specifications from suppliers for raw materials and enter onto the database
8. Keep QC SYSTEM updated and clean
9. Liaise with Customer Services in the event of delays to batches
10. Keep workspace clean and tidy
Ideal Skills Required:
1. Excellent sense of smell and ability to pass the Company smelling assessment test
2. Previous experience in the testing industry
3. Excellent eye for detail
4. The ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, both in a team and as an individual
5. Good problem-solving skills
6. The ability to accurately record all data
7. Good time management; flexibility required to cover shifts
8. Good communication ability at all levels
