Prestige Nursing East Lancashire are seeking a dedicated and experienced female support worker to support a male service user in his late 30’s with an Acquired Brain Injury.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced support worker to support R, a 39-year-old male with an Acquired Brain Injury following a road traffic accident. R lives independently in his own home with 24/7 assistance from a team of support workers. This role requires a compassionate, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join and support a team of support staff, ensuring R’s needs are met with the highest standards of care.
Pay: £15.33 – £22.99 per waking hour*
Shifts: 0900-1800, 1800-2200 + Sleep, or 0900-0900 (24 hour shift including sleep)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist R with daily tasks, ensuring timely and efficient support.
2. Implement and monitor Positive Behavioural Support strategies to encourage positive outcomes.
3. Support R in completing therapy programmes.
4. Utilise CPI training, Positive Behavioural Support techniques and reinforcement to manage challenging behaviours and ensure R’s emotional well-being.
Requirements:
1. Experience in an equivalent role within health and social care.
2. Experience supporting individuals with brain injuries and challenging behaviours.
3. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
4. Full driving license is essential as R’s support may involve driving his vehicle.
