Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen to support the small in-house payroll team, delivering payroll & pensions for circa 4700 staff working for Barnsley Hospital NHS FT and Barnsley Facilities Services. We are seeking someone looking for a career in payroll; opportunities to progress may exist for the right candidate.
The team is based in modern offices in the heart of Barnsley town centre, at Gateway Plaza. You will also have the opportunity to work remotely for up to 2 days per week, subject to work requirements.
You must have an aptitude for figures, excellent computer skills, including Excel, and demonstrate a can-do attitude.
All training will be provided.
Main Duties of the Job
The role is primarily supporting the payroll team by performing a number of admin functions, including:
1. Responding to telephone calls/emails
2. Printing and scanning of documents
3. Booking hotel and train tickets for training courses
4. Approving tech orders through Vivup
5. Inputting data on the NHS national HR/Payroll system Electronic Staff Record (ESR), e.g., car parking, trade union subs.
