We have an exciting opportunity to join our successful team of administrators based in Woodlands on the Ipswich hospital site.
Willow ward is our Later Life Mental Health and Dementia ward which provides care and treatment for people when they are acutely unwell.
The role will be based on Willow ward supporting our Medics and Clinicians and also working across the Woodlands as part of support for the wider admin team and reception. This position would be ideal for somebody looking to progress their skills in a fast-paced role with lots of learning opportunities.
The service is a 24-hour service, although this admin role will cover Monday to Friday between the core hours of 9am - 5pm.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will attend Multi-disciplinary team meetings and patient reviews, work with professionals, carers, family members and patients to ensure a high-quality standard of care. The successful applicant will also be part of the wider admin team and will be trained to help cover reception and our other wards at Woodlands when required.
We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic and energised with a positive, can-do attitude, along with good communication and organisational skills. High-quality typing and computer skills are essential.
Your role will involve a wide range of tasks from minute taking, attending patient meetings, typing up reports, audio typing, inputting and collecting data, audits, and updating our clinical database in the correct way to support data reporting. Creating clinical letters, answering the phones for the teams, and cross covering other areas to support the wider admin team will also be part of your responsibilities. This is a stimulating and varied role where no two days are alike but are extremely rewarding.
