Warehouse and Production Operative
£24,000 - £25,000, Buxted / Maresfield, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4pm, Parking, Pension, Holiday
Due to the nature of the role and for insurance purposes, applicants will be required to have a full clean driving licence held for at least 2 years and be at least 25 years old.
The Role
Due to continued growth, an opportunity for a Warehouse and Production Operative has arisen to join a fast-growing, modern and innovative manufacturing business. Working as part of a dynamic team, this role will be working across the company's two locations (Buxted and Maresfield) in a blended role that contains a combination of warehouse, driving and production responsibilities. Monday to Thursday you will be based from the Buxted site and on Fridays you will be based from Maresfield. Each day you will drive the company van from one site to the other and back again.
Warehouse & Fulfilment responsibilities (Monday to Thursday)
Picking and packing orders and preparing for despatch
Using software to generate pick / pack / despatch lists, updating and recording information where necessary
Assisting with Goods in and Goods out
Assisting in stock control
Some light production work
Use of forklift (training can be provided)Driving responsibilities (Daily)
Driving company van (Transit) between their locations to take raw materials and stock between their fulfilment and production sitesProduction Responsibilities (Fridays)
Labelling packaging by hand and by machine
Making and packaging products by hand and by machine
Filling packaging by hand and machine
Prepare product packaging by constructing boxes
Loading and unloading products
Adhering to food hygiene standards
Requirements
For company vehicle insurance purposes, it is essential that the successful candidate is over 25 years old and has held their licence for more than 2 years. Your licence must be clean.
We would expect the successful Warehouse Production Operative to be physically fit as the role will involve lifting boxes up to 20kg on a daily basis. Previous experience in a Production role is desired, but someone with the right attitude will be considered. An understanding of food hygiene standards would be beneficial. This role would suit someone who has worked as a Production Operative, Warehouse Assistant, Factory Operative. Due to the rural location, your own transport is required.
