Account Director - Cleaning
Are you a senior operational manager with experience within the cleaning services industry looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting new opportunity for an Account Director to join us and lead our Cleaning division.
In addition to managing and overseeing the delivery of cleaning services to school cleaning & corporate clients, you will be responsible for driving efficiency and ensuring compliance with industry standards whilst pro-actively building and sustaining strong client relationships with a range of clients (including schools, colleges and public buildings).
Responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, serving as the primary point of contact.
* Conducting regular/monthly/termly meetings with clients to review service quality, gather feedback, and address any concerns or improvements.
* Ensuring client satisfaction through proactive communication and prompt resolution of issues.
* Overseeing the daily operations of cleaning services across multiple corporate sites.
* Ensuring all cleaning activities are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and industry standards.
* Developing and implementing operational procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency and service quality.
* Overseeing staffing and resources - recruit, train, and manage a team of cleaning staff, including supervisors and cleaners.
* Conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and facilitating ongoing professional development.
* Developing and managing budgets for cleaning operations, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
* Monitoring financial performance, analysing data, and preparing reports on revenue, expenses, and profitability.
* Identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth without compromising service quality.
* Implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of cleaning services.
* Conducting regular site inspections and audits to assess service quality and compliance.
Skills and experience:
* A demonstrable track record of successfully delivering in a similar role.
* Excellent understanding of cleaning services and associated services relevant to the requirements of the role, or transferable knowledge and experience from a related relevant sector.
* Relevant professional or technical qualification or competence.
* Proven track record of successful financial and commercial management in line with the senior team's objectives.
* Able to understand contract obligations and corporate governance and convey the appropriate aspects to team members.
* Effective stakeholder management skills, skilled at building, motivating and leading senior team performance to achieve desired outcomes.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to multitask and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
* A positive 'can do' attitude.
* Confidence to deal with key clients and customers.
* Full clean UK driving Licence and willingness to travel to various sites across the borough as required.
Working Arrangements:
* Working pattern: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday (typically core hours will range depending on business needs but will typically be from 7 am to 5 pm).
* Number of working weeks: 52 weeks (annual leave to be taken during school half term).
* Location: Barking & Dagenham, local travel per business requirement - Flexible.
