The Ramboll VT UK team covers the demand of services for vertical people movement across all locations for Ramboll Globe. We work on a spectrum of services, from innovative design solutions for top high-rise buildings and landmarks across the world, to building surveys and modernisation of existing developments.
As part of our planned department growth, we are looking for an experienced lift engineer / VT consultant, with extensive site experience and understanding of consultancy, to lead our site services work stream.

The Vertical Transportation Team
Our Vertical Transportation team boasts an extensive portfolio of projects, both ongoing and in the pipeline, with a global reach and across diverse sectors. The continuous expansion of our project portfolio reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of Vertical Transportation.
With an already established team, we find ourselves in the next phase of expansion and development; presenting a unique opportunity for you to contribute to our future success and be an integral part of our expanding group. You will join a dynamic team and contribute to a diverse range of projects, spanning from the design of commercial offices to high-rise towers and overseeing the project management of lift installations.
We embrace flexible and hybrid working but we also value in-person collaboration, therefore we welcome applications from candidates within reasonable proximity to one of our office locations, which include London, Bristol and Manchester.
About you
From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.
1. Minimum 10 years of experience, proving your exposure to the lift & escalator industry.
2. Hold proficient knowledge of VT systems and installations, being an internal referent for technical learning and growth.
3. Experience to lead, and carry out as required, all activities from RIBA Stage 4 onwards, including: technical submittals reviews, installations monitoring, condition surveys, witness testing and maintenance monitoring.
4. Hold proficient knowledge of EN/BS standards and all relevant guidance documents, ensuring strict quality in delivery and internal processes.
5. Have experience, or show capabilities, in leadership and management, with the intent to build and grow the Ramboll VT team, having a key focus on growing the site services stream resources.
6. Have experience in consultancy, understanding the relevant stakeholders involved and the role of a VT professional within it. Appreciate the importance and adhering to QA processes for project success.
7. Be forward thinking and passionate about the vertical transportation industry, appreciating the wide offer of services that the Ramboll VT team provides, from competition stage to beyond practical completion.
