Full-time from September 2025
Shrewsbury seeks to appoint a full-time teacher of Economics to teach at all levels in the School in a successful, supportive and collaborative Faculty. The post would be ideal for someone new to the profession looking to gain initial experience, key skills and knowledge in one of the country’s leading boarding schools or for an experienced qualified teacher. The ability to teach A Level Business may be an advantage and the successful candidate should be willing to participate in the School’s thriving pastoral and co-curricular programmes.
Economics enjoys a strong reputation at Shrewsbury and is an increasingly popular subject at A Level with typically 90 – 100 students across the Lower and Upper Sixth. Pupils take the AQA A Level course and achieve excellent Public Examination results, with a number of leavers each year going on to pursue Economics-related disciplines at university, including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE and other UK and international universities.
Shrewsbury has its own salary scale and may be able to provide accommodation.
