Job Title: Group Management Accountant Report To : Group Financial Controller Required Qualifications: CIMA/ACCA Required Experience: Previous experience of working within dynamic finance teams and/or in organisations going through a period of growth and rapid change is required. High proficiency in Excel essential/Power BI is essential. Proactive/hands-on approach Purpose of the Group Management Accountant role Working collaboratively, the Group Management Accountant will demonstrate a high level of integrity and will be responsible for one or more of the Bluefield operational businesses in the UK and/or Europe. Working within Corporate Finance function, a proactive, hands-on approach is essential. The Group Management Accountant will become the knowledge expert for their area of the business, providing excellent customer service and high quality and timely information to stakeholders within the Bluefield Group. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the monthly accounting and financial control for one or more UK based legal entities including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations for accruals, prepayments and fixed assets which feeds into the Group reporting pack. Support the Group Financial Controller with the annual budget setting process, quarterly FP&A and business metrics for the different entities. Cash management including timely cash collection and supplier payments to ensure quarterly cash targets are met. Management of recharges and use of transfer pricing across the group and work with cross-entity accountants to ensure all intercompany accounts are balanced. Investigate and resolve unreconciled items in data sets. Be an advocate for process improvement, challenging existing processes, whilst supporting the business in maintaining high levels of control and adherence to business processes. Preparation of other financial reports including cost analysis and cost control as required by business heads. Take ownership for the audit delivery for your relevant entities. Prepare schedules to support the year end audit and statutory accounts production. Finance lead on operational business cases and KPI tracking. Line management of finance assistants. Other responsibilities Maintain data security and confidentiality by using information within the parameters of the job role, any applicable SLAs, the company data policies and / or privacy notices and the statutory guidelines set out within the GDPR and any associated UK legislation regarding any data for the Project Company accounts and Bluefield internal accounts. Comply with all required fire, health and safety requirements for the environment in which you are working, including making yourself aware of the current applicable policies and risk assessments and acting accordingly, and attending any required training. Interactions within Bluefield The Group Management Accountant will act as a key strategic business partner and as a representative of the Corporate Finance team, taking ownership of their responsibilities to drive forward change.
