An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Peninsula Cancer Team, hosted by University Hospitals Plymouth. The team is seeking to appoint an individual to be the lead for PCA reporting and deputise for the Senior Data Analyst regarding PCA reporting and management tasks. The post-holder will also be required to actively inform PCA staff in a timely manner when unfavourable variances arise so that corrective action can be initiated.
Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as ‘Priority’ and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.
The Post Holder Will Work To Deliver The NHS Long Term Plan (LTP) For Cancer In Devon & Cornwall. PCA’s Workplans Strengthen Collaborative Working To:
* Develop a unified vision for cancer services in the Peninsula and in accordance with the Cancer LTP.
* Establish consistent standards for pathway management, clinical protocols and treatment.
* Better manage diagnostic capacity to improve cancer waiting times.
* Reduce costs through reducing duplication and variation.
* Enhance patient experience.
* Maximise research and training across the system.
* Ensure meaningful engagement with the public and patients and other key partners on the development and their delivery of their plans.
* Share learning.
The post-holder will be responsible for providing specialist advice to staff within, and external to, the Trust on data analysis, information reporting and interpretation. Analysis of complex data and development of information systems and production of reports is key to this role.
