Purpose:
Due to the growth at Murray, this role will play a pivotal part in our focused new business activity, supporting the Sales team with highly targeted leads.

The Business Development Executive role will be responsible for:
1. Nurturing leads: Working with Marketing and fellow colleagues in Business Development, you will progress key prospect leads through the selling funnel, to ultimately produce exploratory sales calls. You’ll have the knack of successfully navigating senior stakeholder gatekeepers to speak to the desired people!
2. Event attendance: You will also play an instrumental role in producing marketing qualified leads via in-person events. These will predominantly be organised by strategic alliances or other relevant 3rd parties, but you will also support Murray-run events.
3. Database maintenance & Reporting: The update and maintenance of the database is crucial to ensure accurate information for relevant and timely communications to key prospects. Reporting the KPIs and communicating them internally to the relevant stakeholders.
4. Event research: You will have a keen eye on various sector events that are hosted by either Murray membership partnerships or other 3rd parties. Working with the Head of Marketing & Brand, you’ll play a key role in strategising what events to attend.
5. Supporting the lead generation strategy: You will work with Marketing and fellow colleagues in Business Development and Sales to shape the plans for lead generation, in collaboration with 3rd parties. This will also involve market research to help identify new business opportunities.
6. All other duties as assigned.

The successful Business Development Executive will have the following related skills / experience:
* 3+ years of experience working in a B2B environment.
* 3+ years of experience in producing leads and developing them into sales calls (ideally targeting C-suite and/or High Net Worth Individuals).
* Experience working in an integrated Marketing team, including collaboration with Creative and Sales colleagues.
* Experience of both written and verbal communication with both internal and external customers.
40 hours working week, typically Mon – Fri 8:30am to 5:00pm.
NB: flexibility required with working hours due to event attendance.
