Create, maintain, and implement manual and automation test suites, test plans and test cases and help with the coordination of testing across departmental and organisational stakeholders. Champion quality and patient safety by supplying specialist advice to staff, stakeholders, and external suppliers to ensure clinical systems are delivered in safe manner which minimises clinical risk. Manage and drive the adoption of recognized best practice and policy and contribute to the ongoing improvement of methodologies to ensure that the software we deliver is of the highestquality. Work with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical leads to ensure tests scripts accurately reflect user needs. Develop automated testing suites, using selenium or similar technologies. Follow standards and policies in respect of the software development and testing lifecycles, you will be expected to support change control mechanisms and audit requirements. The post holder will also be expected to suggest changes in policy or service design, both within their immediate team and across the D&I department, which valueseveryones contribution to an effective and modern service. The post holder will also work with sensitive, sometimes patient identifiable, data whilst developing or supporting information systems. Upgrades and maintenance sometimes require working outside of normal working hours. Supply product support requiring strong analytical skills to investigate, find and resolve software defects and queries. Problems can arise in multiple areas, such as end user devices, networks, databases, and servers, so familiarity with these is essential. At times, the post holder may need to take responsibility for independent decisions related to resolution of time critical issues.
