Do you enjoy the challenge of managing technical projects which deliver organisational change, involving multiple internal and external stakeholders? If yes then Oxford City Council has an exciting opportunity to join the Regeneration Team, to manage a strategically important project to digitise a large number of archive documents contained within Oxford Town Hall.
The Council is looking to strengthen the Regeneration Team to include a Project Manager to manage the implementation of the Council’s Archive Scanning Project, which will consist of two key phases:
1. Phase 1: creating a catalogue of documents
2. Phase 2: scanning the documents (with support from a third party supplier) and embedding digital files in the Council’s digital filing systems.
We are looking for people who have some knowledge of delivery of projects and/or development, who are able to work independently and as part of a team. The role will include planning and managing the delivery of the different phases of the project, coordination of technical and legal requirements, procuring and managing the input of a third-party supplier and compliance with all Council governance and health and safety processes. Our Regeneration Team work across the council and with external stakeholders to deliver complex capital projects that are not only delivered to time and budget but also are approached in a way to maximise the benefits to the city’s residents and businesses.
Please note, whilst the role is hybrid, the successful candidate will be required to work from the Town Hall regularly as required to plan and implement the Phase 1 cataloguing of documents.
