Job description Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant? We require a Teaching Assistant / Early Years Practitioner to work in a busy foundation stage unit within a large primary school in central Carlisle The position will start in early October and be required until the end of the academic year in a local Primary school. We are looking to recruit confident Teaching Assistants who hold at least a Level 2 Qualification in Teaching Assistant or equivalent. The role is a full-time position, but the school can be flexible for the right candidate. The role is to work within a EYFS / Reception Class supporting and working alongside the class teacher and another TA providing the children with an educational, fun filled day. We are looking for someone who:
* Create strong rapport with students and staff within a school setting.
* Experience working within a school setting.
* Clear understanding of the early year’s curriculum
* Support pupils with behaviour issues
* Support pupils with Social, emotional and mental health difficulties, sensory and physical needs.
* Capable of aspiring pupils to achieve outstanding results.
* Help to create a safe striving learning environment.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant (or equivalent) Qualification
* Diploma or Degree in an Education based subject.
* If you are ‘Qualified by Experience’ – Have no qualification but do have solid experience of working in a classroom.
* If you have experience of assisting in group or 1:1 situation.
