Position: Advanced Practitioner - Localities Team Location: Stockport Council Hourly Rate: £37.00 per hour About the Role: Ackerman Pierce is currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join the Localities Team at Stockport Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant impact on the lives of children, young people, and their families by providing high-quality social work services within the local community. Key Responsibilities: Manage a diverse caseload of children and families, ensuring timely and effective interventions. Conduct complex assessments, including Child and Family Assessments, to identify needs and risks. Develop, implement, and review care plans to meet the identified needs of children and families. Provide expert advice and support to social workers and other team members. Lead on specific areas of practice and contribute to the development of policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver coordinated services. Conduct home visits, attend meetings, and provide advocacy and support to service users. Ensure all casework is documented accurately and in a timely manner in line with statutory requirements. Participate in duty systems, including responding to emergencies and crisis situations. Attend court as required, preparing and presenting evidence to support casework decisions. Requirements: Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent. Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in children and families social work. Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency framework. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families.
