Purpose We are currently recruiting for the Credit Risk Specialist to take a leading role on the activities relating to oversight of investment risk management, particularly with regard to credit rating methodologies and assessments. Job Role Accountabilities Oversight of credit rating methodologies to ensure all risks are considered Review and challenge of: Internal ratings assigned to new investments Review and challenge of credit watchlist Review and challenge of credit measurement Review and perform analysis on new fund manager credit rating methodologies Line 2 oversight and challenge of validation activities as set out in the Credit Rating Validation Framework Examples of Key Activities Produce methodology document covering Line 2 oversight of new Just’s credit rating approach Produce second line opinions and present to Just’s Credit Committee with regard to: Rating methodologies for new asset classes to facilitate the approval of the methodology; Produce second line opinions on the output of sampling and validation exercises; Regular review of internal and fund manager credit rating methodologies Rating assessments for internally rated assets Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Knowledge Significant rating agency experience or ratings team within an asset manager/insurance company - essential Commercial real estate experience- essential Experience performing risk identification exercises in the context Solvency UK requirements - desirable Understanding of the Solvency UK requirements for internally assigned credit ratings (SS3/17) - desirable Experience developing and applying credit rating methodologies; or experience reviewing and challenging internal credit rating methodologies Experience in producing reports for committees Good understanding of the different credit rating methodologies used by external rating agencies for assets typically held by UK annuity writer Ability to maintain competence and up to date knowledge Ability to build collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders across the business Company Benefits A Competitive Salary, Pension Scheme and Life Assurance Along with 25 Days Annual Leave plus an Additional Day on us for your Birthday Private Medical Cover and Income Protection, just in case A generous and highly achievable bonus scheme – paid annually based on individual and company performance against targets Opportunity to progress within your career both in-role and within the company FREE access to the Headspace App, a 24/7 Employee Assistance Helpline and Trained Physical & Mental Health First Aiders (On-Site) A variety of Employee Funded Benefits available to you via our Online Benefits Portal Plus, several additional purchase options available for you and your loved ones Why Just?
