Description We are looking for a responsible and motivated part-time administrator to provide business support administration to a team of care professionals at Corserv Care The Business Support Assistant/Administrator will provide support to a team of operational staff and managers providing care and support to people in their own homes. You will assist the community care supervisors with the scheduling, referrals and other administrative processes involved with taking on new customers. The role involves preparing planned schedules of care work but also adjusting schedules on a day-to-day basis in response to short notice sickness/absence, to accommodate new referrals, as a result of any other changing circumstance. Setting up new referrals on total mobile and all admin around this process. Crucially, this team will ensure that all care visits are covered and that no missed visits occur. This role will also provide support to care support workers in the form of handling incoming calls into the office and dealing with day-to-day enquiries as well as supporting the wider team with any required administration related tasks. The STEPS service provides short term Reablement support to people in the community following some sort of health or social care crisis. Whilst Care & Support provides long term personal care support which may also include reablement to adults in their own home who have been assessed as needing long term assistance. Both Services play a pivotal role in discharge pathways, providing essential services to ensure flow across the Health and Social care systems in Cornwall. The aims of both services are: To promote the wellbeing and independence of individuals To work with the NHS, service users, carers and other agencies to avoid unnecessary admission to hospital or inappropriate placement on leaving hospital To maximise the health status and thus the independence of the people we support and to motivate people where their ability to improve is possible We aspire to maximise individual independence and promotion of self-care so that people’s personal goals and outcomes are achieved by using personalised Reablement plans and working in partnership with other agencies. You will need: Ability to manage and prioritise workload/projects whilst under pressure to meet deadlines. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. Evidence of educational achievement – minimum of 3 GCSE’ s grade C or above or equivalent level 2 vocational qualification. Demonstrates good writing and numeracy skills with the ability to write clear reports to be able to fulfil the obligations of the role. Proficient in the use of office software packages. Experience of working as part of a team, demonstrating an ability to work on own initiative but also to accept direction and supervision.
