Overview of the role:
The primary purpose of this role is two-fold.
1. Account Management – nurture existing customer relationships, drive customer satisfaction and Wonderfield Group business profitability for our existing customers. Support the Commercial Managers with various aspects of managing their key accounts. This to be achieved through good day to day management of each customer account, and the development of an account plan, product development calendar and promotional calendar.
2. Business Development – create a pipeline of potential new business within both Grocery and Foodservice sectors that aligns with our current & future capabilities and covert these into new customer sales.

Key Accountabilities:
Key Aspects of Job
* Ensure our customers are looked after, complaints and problems are addressed and solved within our business
* Constantly monitor customer profitability and make interventions to keep the profitability at target levels
* Work with customers, the NPD team and our wider stakeholders to scope new concepts and launch new products
* Troubleshoot daily deliveries to customers and communicate with any relevant personnel internally and externally
* Work with customers to agree promotional and marketing plans
* Provide assistance to the Commercial Managers within the team, by helping to manage various account management tasks related to these key accounts
* Support with the preparation of presentations and/or submissions to existing and new customers, discuss potential new opportunities with the NPD team, and drive these forward for the benefit of our customers
* Complete new line forms and other information required by customers to load new products onto retailers commercial platforms
* Complete daily paperwork associated with the commercial function – we’re a small team and everyone has to pitch in to get things done
* Frequently visit stores, restaurants and kiosks to ensure we are aware of trends and products, and the general situation out in the marketplace
* Work cross-functionally across the business and drive these teams to support our customers
What you’ll need:
* Higher level education or equivalent in work experience
* An ability to communicate well at multiple levels within the internal organisation, and the same with customers, partners and suppliers
* Experience of working in the Grocery and Foodservice sectors for a medium/large organisation; an understanding of how UK retailers operate
* A can-do attitude and a willingness to work on building new processes, new ways of working, new business and new products
* An ability to see the cross-functional implications of decisions relating to customer
* A willingness to get stuck into all aspects of the Commercial function – from administrative daily tasks to hunting new business and developing new products
* Tenacity and a desire to keep going when things get difficult
* Aptitude to present both positive and difficult positions well to customers and stakeholders
