As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will be working closely with students who require additional support in their education. Your role will involve adapting learning activities, offering individualised support, and fostering a positive and encouraging classroom environment. What you have to do as an SEN Teaching Assistant: Assist students with individual learning needs, ensuring they stay engaged and motivated. Support teachers in delivering structured lessons and activities. Provide one-to-one and small group support when needed. Help students develop confidence, independence, and social skills. Encourage positive behaviour and a productive learning environment. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff members. SEN TA Qualification: Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role. A background in psychology, education, childcare, or related fields is advantageous. CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare. A compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt learning approaches to meet individual needs. An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one. Why Join GSL Education?
